Artist's Comments

i do not deal with grief well, im not a person who openly shows my emotions, but i felt i had to do something....
this is in memory of a freind and rp partner who recently died, though it is unfinished as yet. ive discouraged critique because i know its not very good proportionately, but ill try to correct that.
I find it difficult to express what i feel in words, i always do at times like this. strange that i can so easily express myself through my rp characters but i find it so difficult to do it for myself.
This picture is bittersweet for me. it is of a meeting between one of my characters (the stallion) and her character(the palomino mare) in the roleplay they fell in love, but it was short lived, for the mare sacrificed herself to try and save the lives of the rest of the herd.....WIntersweet lost her when he had only just begun to know her.
that is how i feel myself. i will miss her a lot....i wish i had known her more, but what i did know of her she was a very sweet, lovely person who was like a breif light that touched many people. her characters were always so gentle and sweet, trying to help the others and whenever i spoke to her i got that feeling about her too.....She will be missed deeply....

 I'm so sorry for your loss. This is the perfect way to remember someone :)

This is a superb painting btw, I don't even notice the proportion, maybe it's just one of those things that you pick up when you work on this for so long :)

Anyways, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, and remember, you have heaps of friends to talk to, and dA to cheer you up :)

That is a really good picture. don't worry about the proportions. I work with over 40 horses everyday and i wouldn't have noticed had you not pointed it out. I love the glowy thing coming off the unicorns. this gets a +fav for unicorns and general coolness.
I'm sorry about your friend. i don't think there is anything i can say to help, other than when people leave this world i prefer to think of the the good moments instead of the absense of that person. good luck

May you be forty years in heaven

 I just heard the news, and it's so very hard to believe... I didn't know her very well either, except from RP, but I think that she'd be so very touched by your beautiful tribute. The emotion in this is so powerful ... and the thought behind it is ... beyond words. A truly inspiring and comforting tribute, Katy.
