this is an image ive had really clearly in my head for some time. it goes with something i wrote about Bane's past.....

"Bane lay, curled up on the grubby quilt that lay in the storage locked. It was cold outside…raining, and it was only because of the downpour that he had decided to sleep indoors.
The rain hammered on top of the storage unit, making it smell damp, and even the sounds of the city seemed muted….the light coming from a single light bulb in the roof, and the cracks of light from around the door….he wouldn’t be shut in here…he wouldn’t wake up in an enclosed space….. not if he was trapped in….
His eyelids began to flicker in his dreamed and he shifted, murmuring in Dark elvish incoherently as the Dream started again….
A frown flickered across his face, playing on his features and he began to writhe uncomfortably, the words “No...” leaving his lips as he began to thrash, and then he arched his back and screamed, a scream of sheer agony, fear and loathing…..his eyes flicked open and he lurched upright, sitting up violently, his eyes wide and unseeing, and a flicker of movement caught his eye. Blindly he lashed out, adrenaline coursing through his body…he had to fight, had to get away…
There was a sound of shattering glass and he blinked, his vision focusing…clearing, and settled on the shattered mirror…
Blankly he looked down at his hand as blood oozed from the lacerations of the glass in his skin, and he sighed, watching the blood run down his hands, dripping onto the grubby quilt beneath him, and absently he picked at the shards of glass that were stuck in the wounds….the bleeding would stop soon enough, his blood clotted fast. He healed quickly, that was from his daemon heritage.
He looked at his shattered reflection in the mirror and his face tightened bitterly, hearing the rain pounding on the roof of the storage unit.
Nobody would have heard his screams…but who would have cared…he had nobody, he was just some bastard half breed that the world would be better off without…..and nobody had ever cared…just one person and he had left him over a centaury ago…..
Bitter tears welled up in his eyes. Lazuli had been like a father to Bane….in those 2 years that they had been together, after he had saved Bane’s life….an emaciated, badly injured, fevered child…..he had said he would come back, he had promised he would return…..but he had left him, he never came back, and Bane had no idea what had happened to him…left alone again, just a boy…..he had lost everyone he had ever cared about..
He had been utterly alone since then, feared, hated, persecuted just because of what he was and what he had done just to survive…..and he hated who he was….he hated being so alone, but he was the Shadowcreeper, a ruthless assassin….treated with distrust by everyone who ever met him…but none of them ever tried to look beneath the surface…none of them ever tried to see who he was beneath….not hard, because whenever anyone got close to the deep pain he held inside he lashed out, like an injured animal too afraid of the pain to let anyone touch it…
Bane looked up at the mirror and snarled at himself, bitter, angry tears welling up and running down his face. He turned to the wall and reached out, writing with bloodied fingers the words “What do they care?” than slammed his hand against the wall, dragging it down, leaving a bloody handprint against the wall as he crouched, his body curling up and he cried…bitter, lonely tears as the rain thundered down….."

Bane is copyright (c) to me...no stealing him or ill let you know what your insides look like *growls* that clip of writing is (c) to me too....
that strange distortion on his back is a burn scar btw....Bane was tortured as a child....hes had a very hard life. *huggles him* i love him to bits though, he is my muse and my very favourate character.....im obsessed with him (in case you hadnt noticed)
im aware the reflection is wrong, but ah well..
this pic definately shows a side to my boy that isnt often seen....*huggles him*
i cant look at this pic and listen to "No Bravery" by James Blunt without crying.... the track "secrets" from the more music from gladiator cd is good too with this pic...
